The weatherstation is situated on Tinto hill in South Lanarkshire Scotland. The approximate location is N55:35:22 W3:42:20 (NS926341).  It first started 'talking' (relaying weather information) in May 2002. 

Note due to the location of the weather station on the hill, wind speeds from the East or the West can read slightly low.
